A Guide to St Tropez

St Tropez in France is located on the ‘French Riviera’, an area known worldwide for its wealthy residents, famous visitors, casinos, super yachts and French chic.

Despite the glitz and glamour, St Tropez still remains a small fishing village at heart, with charming colourful alleys and wonderful sights to explore, such as the XVIth Century Citadelm the Annonciade Museum and the Provencal market.

The village of St Tropez sits within the ‘Golf de St Tropez’, an area that also contains places such as Grimaud, Sainte-Maxime, Ramatuelle, La Croix Valmer, Le Plan de la Tour and Le Royal Canodal.

There is a wide choice of campsites in the area which are perfect for those touring or camping.

Many of these are on the coast, giving you direct access to the beautiful sandy beaches.

And despite being so close to the millionaires staying on their super yachts, the prices for these are on par with those across European campsites.

Like many tourist destinations during the summer months, St Tropez gets extremely busy, both with the people staying there and those looking to visit for the day.

If you are looking to visit St Tropez then it may be worthwhile considering a mini-break away from your outlying campsite base.

We suggest you consider treating yourself and staying at one of the hotels in St Tropez. Leave the caravan or tent behind on a campsite outside of the town and head in for a few days of fun and exploration.

There is a wide range of hotels in St Tropez for every budget. Whilst you may assume they are all 5 star luxurious palaces of opulence this is not the case, as there are many smaller hotels that are equally good but won’t break the bank!

Wherever you choose to stay in the St Tropez area we hope you get to experience a taste of what the French Riviera has to offer.

Bon voyage!
