Why wider caravans in the UK should not have a broad appeal: The NCC’s response to the Government’s consultation on trailer widths

The NCC (National Caravan Council) has responded in strong terms to the Government’s proposals to amend the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986. This proposed amendment would allow the width of touring caravans – and other trailers – to increase from 2.3 metres to 2.55m. Implementation is threatened for spring 2010.

Simple Caravan insurance now live on the jml-insurance website

The insurance provider Simple has recently launched Caravan insurance. Jml-insurance are pleased proud announce that they are now promoting the product on the jml-insurance.co.uk web site.

As the better weather may finally be on its way with spring around the corner caravan owners will be wanting to get the vehicles on the road for the 2010 season. The Easter break is in early April this year and should prove popular for those wanting to get out on the roads and away from their homes where they have been kept in by the long hard winter.

Sales up at North East caravan parks

SALES at a caravan park firm have jumped by more than 30% in the last year as hard-up holiday makers continue to stay put rather than jet off into the sun.

Northumbrian Leisure said that its turnover had broken the £3m barrier and it is continuing to invest in the redevelopment and expansion of its £15m holiday park portfolio.
