Caravan repairs: A Guide

Just like other vehicles, caravans can get damaged and need repairing. This may be external damage caused by other drivers (or that concrete post you thought you were clear of!) or internal wear and tear from simply using the caravan regularly.
Not only will damage look unsightly, but it will also reduce the value of it if you are looking to sell your caravan in the future.
There are a large number of potential areas that may become damaged and need repair, both inside and outside of your caravan.
Here are some of the main things that may need attention:
Interior

3. Door card repair
4. B Pillar trims
5. Headlining
6. Dashboard
7. Centre console
8. Leather upholstery and trim
9. Vinyl upholstery or trim

One good option is to find a caravan repair centre or bodyshop that offers SMART Repairs. SMART stands for ‘Small to Medium Area Repair Technology’ and trained professionals use a range of specific products to carry out the repairs easily.
As a result these are often cheaper than traditional repair methods.
Another option obviously is to carry out the repairs yourself. This will depend largely on the extent of the damage and also your confidence.
A number of the products used by SMART repair professionals are widely available in motor accessory shops, so you can buy them and carry out the repairs.

Gulliver's Milton Keynes Club Site opens for business

The Camping and Caravanning Club’s new site at Gulliver’s Milton Keynes will officially open for business on Thursday, March 25, 2010.
The 90-pitch site, open to both members and non-members and built using environmentally-friendly methods, is adjacent to the fun-packed theme park and Dinosaur and Farm Park.

Brown Moor takes top honours for Yorkshire in the Calor Caravan Club Site Awards

Brown Moor Caravan Club Site was unveiled as the Caravan Club Members' Favourite recently at the NEC. The Warden teams representing all six winning Caravan Club sites were honoured in the Calor Caravan Club Awards 2009, as voted by Club Members. Paul Madge, National Accounts Manager at Calor, was on hand to make the presentations to the delighted Wardens during the Boat and Caravan Show today.

Caravan Club demonstrates support for Scottish tourism

Europe's premier touring organisation, The Caravan Club, is once again lending its support to Scottish tourism by sponsoring key events during Scottish Tourism Week.
This year marks the fifth year The Caravan Club has co-sponsored (with VisitScotland) the Scottish Tourism Forum's MSPs Reception at the Parliament, which it sees as an effective way of informing those in power of the vital importance of this industry. The Club is also one of the main sponsors of the Scottish Tourism Week Conference 'Delivering for Scotland' at Murrayfield Stadium today.
